Based around the NeMAD multimedia Core, AVPE processing engine and SaVaGe User Interface kit, MaxCE suite™ of Media applications feature sophisticated, highly optimized and feature rich application designs enabling development of many of todays networked(or otherwise) consumer electronic devices. MaxCE PoGu™ - electronic Program Guide


The MaxCE PoGu™ is a extremely responsive and feature-rich Electronic Program Guide (EPG) application that manages viewer interaction during channel and program selection. Features include instantaneous response time on channel tune, fast scroll program navigation, UI presentation flexibility (Grid, Zap, Single channel), and support for PPV, Reminders, Filters, Search, Favorites and much more.


The MaxCE PoGu™application architecture provides the optional ability of working directly with graphics hardware contexts on select hardware platforms. This ensures an amazingly responsive application.

MaxCE VODya™ - Video On Demand Suite
MaxCE VoDya™ (Video On Demand) application can be seamlessly integrated with third-party VOD streaming servers to provide customer with video content on demand. MaxCE VoDya™ application features provide a consumer business models including subscription and pay-as-you-go. MaxCE VoDya™ also provides enhanced application features including full trick Mode support, Multiple search parameters, parental locks, content control and content screening, scaled and full-screen movie preview.

 

The Modular architecture of MaxCE VoDya™ Video on Demand is demonstrated on the Texas Instruments DaVinci STB / DVEVM reference Architecture - which also operates on the NeMAD playback and stream management engine, and
also features applications like MaxCE Electronic Program guide - MaxCE PoGu™.

MaxCE JetSet™ - Common CE Settings Configuration suite
MaxCE JetSet™ consists of applications for configuring and/or viewing Set-Top Box and User settings. The types of settings and display parameters that the user can control and/or view will depend on the capabilities of the STB or what the STB Vendor wishes to determine.

Example settings that could be managed/viewable include video, audio and system information, and user settings such as reminders, favorites, parental PINs. MaxCE JetSet™ is pre-built for the Media++ Application Platform. Featuring
the modular architecture, MaxCE JetSet can easily be integrated into custom requirements.

MaxCE 01Protexion™ consists of operating system and application infrastructure aimed at protecting data which is licensed over an electronic media such as a digital download. By incorporating 01Protexio™ into consumer electronic devices, content vendors can rest assured that their content is absolutely safe when delivered to 01Protexion™ enabled hardware devices.

■ Seamless operation: Does not change the delivered media. DRM mechanism is handled by Operating systems and application components.
■ Provides mechanisms for secure and encrypted content download from a remote server.
■ At the Customer premise equipment, zero-copy mechanisms are implemented which disallow copying of copyrighted data to alternate media.
